Personality:
Cygnus is timid, shy and quiet, but that is only when he is under Corvus' shadow. In reality, he is confident and down-to-earth. He is very kind and remarkably genuine - he finds he cannot tell a proper lie. He seems to have his brother's charisma and people genuinely like him. He is empathetic towards most things. He's courageous and would fight for what he thinks is right.

Ajax was in love with fellow Calliope Aquila. The Aquila’s were notorious for being Pureblood Purist, and Calliope was just the same. But Calliope rejected him as though he was a Pureblood, he had fallen from his family’s grace by being associated with Dark Magic (though his case was never really proven). Not one to take rejection well, Ajax kidnapped Calliope, and to ensure no one would come looking for her, staged her death. He, with the help of the Imperius Curse, made her his wife. She bore him twins, Corvus and Cygnus. Ajax enjoyed a somewhat happy, though artificial, family life, for a year before he decided to take the Imperius Curse off of Calliope, believing that she had actually love him. He was heavily delusional of course, and once he had lifted the curse, she quickly apparated back to her family. Enraged at what had happened, the Aquila family had given Ajax a life-time sentence in Azkaban. This left the question of who were to take care of the boys who were no more than one. Calliope was disgusted and felt no love for her boys. Fortunately, Ajax’s parents stepped in and took care of the boys.

It seemed that life for the two boys were looking up. The Darrows were good to the boys. The boy were identical in every aspect of their appearance except for their eyes. Corvus had grey ones whereas Cygnus had blue ones. However, unless you were looking directly into their eyes, you wouldn’t know the difference. But their eye colour isn’t the only determining factor, for though the two Darrow brothers are doppelgangers for each other, they are very different in personality and views. Cygnus was gentle and sweet, while Corvus as violent and hostile.

Growing up, Cygnus enjoyed the outdoors and did what most boys his age did. However, there was always his brother - who he desired more than anything to understand, but unfortunately failed to do so. Their constant difference in opinions set the brother a drift, though Cygnus never tires in trying to reach his brother. He is somewhat afraid on his brother as he knows just what Corvus is capable of (maybe not in explicit detail but knows enough to instill fear in him). This fear makes him timid and shy especially when his brother is around him.

At Hogwarts, the difference in the brothers grew as Cygnus was sorted into Gryffindor and Corvus, Slytherin. Cygnus was smart but his studies weren't exactly his priority. This time apart from his brother allowed him to fully grow into his confident and fun-loving personality. He enjoyed making friends and they equally enjoyed his company. He was particularly apt at Quidditch and in his fifth year became Quidditch Captain.

He held everyone in regard and didn't really think much of blood. If he liked someone, he liked them because of who they were. After Hogwarts, Corvus and Cygnus found out that their mother wasn't in fact dead but had left the Wizarding World to start a family. Corvus was furious and wanted to kill the Muggle that their mother had married, their younger half-sister and their mother. Cygnus had never feared his brother more at that moment, but he stood his ground. He won but from then on he knew Corvus had changed.

Cygnus decided to work for the Ministry, making his way up to the Department of Mysteries.
