Personality:

Erin Davis is beautiful, smart, and rather self-centered. Often lost in the hustle and bustle of her family home, she treasures her time away at Hogwarts, where she is popular and well-liked in her House. Although her family is not quite as well-off as Erin would like, with four children and her father’s various political campaigns, her upbringing was comfortable and mostly happy. It would seem she has it all figured out, except for one teensy little problem: Erin’s a lesbian.

She’s known this for almost as long as she knew what the word meant, having never felt any attraction to the opposite sex. However, given the expectations of her family to marry and produce pureblood children, she’s spent a large amount of time trying desperately hide her “shameful” secret.

As a result she’s not the friendliest person amongst strangers (save potential romantic interests), often simply worn out by the constant effort required to keep her secret. It’s not that she doesn’t like people -- she does, actually -- but it’s easier to keep track of the lies the fewer in number they are and the less people are told them.

The second child in a family of three girls (and one treasured baby boy), Erin is often overlooked at home. Her parents are kind and loving and very, very busy -- her father is involved in politics and her mother plays the part of a politician’s wife well, organizing various charitable events and producing beautiful children at carefully planned intervals.

Neither of them has any idea about her secret, although her older sister Rachael suspects something’s up. As a result, the relationship between the two eldest Davis sisters is rather strained, Erin actively withholding information and Rachael constantly pestering her younger sister for ever more details.

In fact, it was in no small part thanks to Rachael that Erin made an effort to better hide her secret by “dating” a close friend, Lysander Blake. Having always gotten along well, their mutual friends accepted the match easily enough, but it became readily apparent that there was just no spark. This lead to Lysander figuring out her secret and finally, Erin gained a confidant. The two remain close friends, often giving each other romantic advice and trying to help the other as best they can.
